A HOLIDAY MENTAL HEALTH REMINDER
hey, it’s the day before thanksgiving—a holiday where we gather with the ones we love (or tolerate), argue over politics and unsolicited opinions, and try to avoid turning the kitchen into a war zone.
but let’s zoom out for a second: the world has felt increasingly chaotic this year. people are feeling unsafe, afraid, and hurt. while the holidays are often a time to reflect and come together, it’s also important to acknowledge the reality around us. this isn’t about hiding behind privilege or pretending things are perfect—it’s about balancing gratitude with awareness.
it’s okay to feel complicated about the holidays. they can be messy. they can be beautiful. and they can be hard. whether it’s the pressure to make everything perfect, complicated family dynamics, or just feeling alone when the world seems focused on togetherness, it’s okay to not feel okay.
what matters most is giving thanks for what we do have—no matter how small. a favorite song. a good laugh. a moment of peace.
