HOW THE F*CK DO I STILL HAVE LEFTOVERS?

ZERO WASTE MEANS TURKEY FOR DAYS

WELCOME BACK TO DINNER PARTY
[VOL. 7]

watching tiny humans in reflective vests wrangle luggage like a high-stakes Tetris tournament makes airport life oddly fascinating. most of the time, though, when the most exciting menu item is a "cheese product" slice, it feels like airports are banking on the comedy of our reactions. at home, it doesn’t have to be that way. i’ve created something that checks all the boxes: bold, spicy, sweet, and worth more than 30,000 frequent flyer miles.

welcome back, kitchen confidants—and to our newest crew, welcome aboard. i’m jeremy, your guide to flavors that surprise, excite, and occasionally set off your smoke alarm. i’ve been playing with food since before i could reach the stovetop, and right now, i’m inspired by the idea that great food can come from the least glamorous places (airports excluded).

this week, we’re shaking things up with a bowl that’s anything but basic: the Habanero Honey Turkey Bowl. think tender turkey coated in a sweet, spicy glaze, paired with grains, crisp veggies, and a drizzle of magic to tie it all together. it’s part comfort food, part wake-up call, and 100% what you need when bold and balanced is the goal.

as we roll into week seven of this adventure, i want to say your feedback keeps the wheels turning and the flavors spicy—so keep it coming! my mission hasn’t changed: to deliver recipes that make you feel like a kitchen wizard without requiring a pantry stocked with unicorn tears.

so grab your cutting board, your favorite heat-proof spoon, and let’s turn up the flavor. whether you’re here for the recipes, the spice, or just to procrastinate on doing dishes, i’m glad you’re here.

BRAVE HABANERO HONEY HOT SAUCE

boldly sweet with a fiery kick, Brave Habanero Honey Hot Sauce dares your taste buds to dance.

sweet meets heat in a perfect, fearless balance.

like i said, cooking at home doesn’t have to be a whole production. simplicity makes the best dishes, and comfort food always hits the mark. my goal is to create recipes people actually want to make—and tweak to make their own. every week, i’ll share a recipe you can make entirely in a microwave. trust me, you won’t believe how much you can do with just that one appliance.

whether you’ve been cooking for years or still aren’t sure what a stove does, these recipes are designed to make you feel confident without the hassle.

in the MICROWAVES KILL section, you’ll find quick, easy recipes that actually taste good—everything ready in 5 to 30 minutes.

this week’s recipe is the Habanero Honey Turkey Bowl, a flavor-packed dish that proves microwaves aren’t just for reheating coffee. we’re taking those leftover thanksgiving turkey scraps and giving them a bold, spicy-sweet new life.

HABANERO HONEY TURKEY BOWL

The Habanero Honey Turkey Bowl in like… 5 minutes, start to finish. as long as that Brave Sauce magic ties it all together, feel free to customize—swap rice for quinoa, trade cheddar for feta, or toss in roasted sweet potatoes instead of peas.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup cooked turkey, shredded or diced

  • 1/2 cup cooked white or brown rice

  • 1/4 cup frozen peas or green beans

  • 2 tablespoons Brave Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar or crumbled feta cheese

  • 1 tablespoon toasted sunflower seeds or chopped pecans (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon dried cranberries or raisins (optional)

  • Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. LAYER

in a microwave-safe bowl, layer the shredded turkey, cooked rice, and frozen peas or green beans.

  2. SAUCE

in a small bowl, whisk together Brave Sauce, soy sauce, and maple syrup. pour this mixture evenly over the turkey and rice. stir gently to coat everything with the sauce.

  3. MICROWAVE

cover the bowl with a microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap, leaving a small vent for steam. microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even heating.

  4. CHEESE

remove from the microwave, sprinkle with shredded cheddar or crumbled feta, and microwave for an additional 15-20 seconds to soften the cheese slightly.

  5. SERVE
top with toasted sunflower seeds or pecans for crunch and dried cranberries or raisins for a hint of sweetness. garnish with fresh parsley or chives before serving.
