WELCOME TO DINNER PARTY

[VOL. 1]

i’m jeremy fall, a chef that believes most chefs take themselves too seriously and forget that food is so much more than a flexing contest of who can make the best pork belly. most recipes are boring because no one in their right minds wants to waste their time trying to solve a puzzle to put a meal together.

my dinner party is different. i want to have conversations with you about real life sh*t (the only reason why i had to censor that word is because it hurts the algo otherwise i don’t give a f*ck). if you have a seat at my dinner table, you’re getting a recipe that you can make using only a microwave.

sometimes i’ll drop products you can order, some of them will be free. i’ll drop limited edition collectibles, digital and physical. the beautiful thing about food is the context that surrounds it, the cultural conversations it allows us to have. i’ll make jokes, talk about mental health, music, entertainment, fashion.

i want you to feel like you have a seat the world’s biggest dinner party and hopefully will find some inspiration somewhere. this newsletter is about more than food—it’s about bringing us together, spark creativity and story telling.

food isn't just fuel. it’s connection, comfort, and sometimes just a reason to slow down and enjoy the moment.

MICROWAVES KILL

honestly, cooking at home doesn’t have to be a big production. i hate needing a Michelin-level kitchen setup to make something delicious, and i’m a chef. i’m all about keeping it stupid simple, with recipes anyone can pull off. so, every week, i’m going to give you a recipe that only takes a microwave to cook. you won’t believe how much you can make using only a microwave.

the KISS principle applies: keep it simple stupid

whether you’ve been cooking for years or are still figuring out what a stove is, these dishes will make you feel confident without the hassle.

in the MICROWAVES KILL section, you’ll find recipes that are quick, actually good and stress-free—everything takes 5 to 30 minutes, tops.

first on the list is HIBACHI CITRUS FRIED RICE. It’s one of those meals you can make with whatever you’ve got in the fridge, but it’s just as good as what you’d get at your favorite hibachi spot. No fancy techniques, just a few ingredients, and some easy steps.

HIBACHI CITRUS FRIED RICE RECIPE
BY JEREMY

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups of cooked white rice (leftover rice works best)

  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup of mixed vegetables (frozen or fresh – carrots, peas, and onions)

  • 1 clove of garlic (minced)

  • If & When’s Moroccan Preserved Lemon Paste

  • salt and pepper to taste

OPTIONAL

  • a splash of soy sauce for extra flavor

  • chopped green onions for garnish

  • protein like chicken, steak, or shrimp

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. PREP THE RICE

if you’re using fresh rice, spread it on a plate and let it cool down to prevent clumping.

  2. COOK THE EGG

in a microwave-safe bowl, whisk the egg with a splash of sesame oil. microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir, and microwave again for another 20 seconds or until fully set. break it into pieces and set aside.

  3. MICROWAVE THE VEGETABLES

in a microwave-safe dish, combine the mixed vegetables, minced garlic, and a drizzle of sesame oil. cover and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

  4. ADD THE RICE

to the vegetables, add the rice, soy sauce, and sesame oil. stir well, cover, and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the rice is heated through.

  5. COMBINE AND SEASON

stir the scrambled egg back into the rice mixture. start by mixing in ½ a teaspoon of MOROCCAN PRESERVED LEMON PASTE, adjusting to your preferred taste. season with salt and pepper.

and there you go — HIBACHI CITRUS FRIED RICE in under 20 minutes, without having to go to culinary school. it’s easy to make it your own, too. you can toss in whatever you have in the fridge —shrimp, chicken, tofu, or whatever sounds good.
